Thanks to you, we won a resounding victory in the runoff election - a victory that now enables us to take our message of change to the voters of Georgia in November.
We all know what a toll George Bush's failed economic policies have taken on Georgia families. Now we will build the case to reverse those policies and remove the main obstacle to change in Washington - Senator Saxby Chambliss.
But first, I want to thank my opponents in the Democratic primary, Vernon Jones, Dale Cardwell, Rand Knight, and Josh Lanier, for waging spirited campaigns that helped to put these concerns at the forefront of the public debate.
We have a lot of hard work to do in the coming months, and I will need your help and support along the way, but nothing in life that matters comes easy.
Thank you for standing with me when it mattered most.
Best wishes,
Jim
To Our Future U.S. Senator:
I admire your character and congratulate you on a historic achievement. I admire the fact that you have not given up in politics, especially at times when it looked pessimistic.
You have the opportunity to serve as the voice of Georgia in our Nation's Capital. We need you and our future President Obama in Washington to serve as a team. Unity is strength and I know your future is bright. Keep on building on the grassroots.
For some, serving in the U.S. Senate is a symbol of status, for you, it's a symbol of service.

Jim,
Congratulations on your recent runoff victory. I had one message on my answering machine on 8/5 and it was you. Ran into Stephanie Stuckey-Bennett and her family when I went to vote at Fernback MS that afternoon
